where do we clean parts?

The best way for us to ensure the cleanliness of your parts is to clean them in an ambient environment that is already clean. Our 4-stage ultrasonic cleaner finds it’s home in an ISO Class 8 cleanroom. Technically a cleanroom isn’t required but it helps us maintain our quality procedures and well- just makes things easier on us too. Here’s a breakdown of the space we use to clean parts:

  • Our cleanroom is dedicated specifically to our special cleaning service and is used for no other purpose

  • Dual HEPA fan filter units using .3 micron filter elements at 99.99% efficiency

  • Minimum of 20 air exchanges per hour, air flow rate above 4 CFM per square foot

  • We adhere to the standards outlined in ASTM E 2042: Standard Practice for Cleaning and Maintaining Controlled Areas and Clean Rooms

THE HIGHEST STANDARDS

When defining our cleaning procedure we sought a complete in-house vertically integrated process. That begins with the quality of water used in our dual stage heated ultrasonic rinse tanks. We continuously monitor the TDS (total dissolved solvents) level in both of our rinse tanks. If at any time it needs to be cycled, we have our own supply of RODI water at the ready.

The TDS monitor on the left of our RODI filter reads about 350ppm on the incoming municipal water supply. After passing through a sediment filter, carbon filter, and RO membrane it reads between 5-10 ppm. The last 2 stages contain the deionizing media which consistently produces our outlet water at 0 ppm.

Shown here in our setup are also our tube fittings, pipe fittings, 1-piece ball valves, quick connects, quick connect protectors with lanyards, hoses, tubing and tube supports.

PROPRESS CLEANING

We also have the ability to provide high purity cleaning of ProPress valves and fittings in copper, bronze, and stainless steel material

  • ProPress o-rings are removed and cleaned separately

  • O-rings are lubricated using Krytox™ 240AC prior to reassembly

  • Upon passing inspection all ProPress fittings are double bagged, labelled, and shipped with a certificate of compliance

  • Fast turnaround averaging 1-2 days depending on quantity

WE HAVE THE PARTS TOO

We also do our best to stock the most commonly used parts requiring special cleaning. Here’s a look at a few:

  • Reducing unions to easily adapt nominal copper tubing over to true OD stainless tubing such as:

    • 5/8”OD x 1/2”OD,

    • 7/8”OD x 1/2”OD

    • 7/8”OD x 3/4”OD

    • 1-1/8” OD x 1” OD

  • 5/8” x 1/2” OD Reducing bulkheads to transition from copper tube to stainless through a wall or ceiling panel using just one fitting

  • Bulkhead unions, NPT adapters, elbows, tee’s

  • 1-piece and 3-piece ball valves

  • Sanitary flange x tube fitting adapters

  • Specially cleaned stainless steel tubing
